fear factor?

Have you ever heard of ulat mulong?

Well it is what you see in the picture below.

If you're Sarawakian or if you ever visit Sarawak, you'll surely get to see this kind of cute fatty worm selling at the wet market in any places. It is known as sago worm or grub, a famous delicacy in Sarawak. It is believed to contain 3-7% of protein, 10-30% fat and the rest is water. Just like the worm in fruits, it is safe to be eaten, either raw or cooked.

I've tried this ulat mulong for my first time yesterday.

-before it was cooked-

It was my big sister who bought it for us yesterday morning.
We didn't dare to eat it raw so we fried it.
-cooked-

-3 mulongs for RM1-

Looking nice?

Or gross? =P

Despite the look, it's very delicious. It tasted like french fries with abit of cheese. lol.
I think I was brave enough to dare to eat this worm. Can consider joining Fear Factor already.
Heh heh!

Passport Photo

This morning I went to make a passport. It's my first time making it. And I just know that I can't have a dyed hair for passport photo after the photographer informed me about it. Must maintain the originality of the person's appearance. Then I asked him, "If that's the case, can you help me to edit my hair to black colour?" Luckily he said can but need to charge a bit there.

So whoala! This is the result of his editing skills.

Look very real right? That I have a black hair. Kekeke.

Seeing this pic, suddenly I think that I look beautiful naturally without any make-up or hairdo. Which surprised me cos I never think that I have a pretty face. And my hair was actually hidden inside the blazer so it looks like I'm having a short hair in this pic. Feel kind of refreshing though. Will consider having a short hair after new hair grows out by cutting off the dyed hair. :)

So yeah, finally I got my passport dy. Cheers~

New Look is Up !

Dear readers,

Guess what? I have just dyed my hair for the first time! And the reason behind the decision to dye my hair is to brighten up my dull life. Life's been pretty bored/stress in campus so I decided to do something crazy, even if it means breaking the rule, to make my life more interesting/colourful.

As I can't change the environment, either the people or the uncomfortable situation that I'm living in, I can change me. I don't have a strong mindset so I can't change my perspective towards them, if you wonder why I didn't go for that way. Please understand weak-minded people like me kay. In my previous post, I did admit that I'm a hypocrite right? That's my way. I can't change my view towards them but I can act like nothing happens and still be nice to people/happenings which cause me troubles. Ain't I hypocrite, you say? But I do suffer a lot being like that and that's why I decided to do something on myself. Something obvious enough to make myself feel like another person. Which is creating a new image. So, I thought of dyeing my hair. Purposely chose a bright colour to dye. If not, it won't be an obsolete change.

As expected, it turned out great and I like my new hair colour. However, there're some important people in my life that dislike my sudden change. Though all their reasons for disagreement are for my own good. I understand. But what's been done is done. Nothing they can do about it. Unless I go and dye my hair back to black colour. And we all know that it's a waste of money. To be frank, their disapproval kinda makes me regret for dyeing my hair cos I get influenced easily by what these important people advise in my life. But as I said, what's done is done. I used to live with this quote, "No Regret Life", and I hope I still do.

Anyway, despite all that, do you readers like my new look? Hope to hear sincere opinions from you guys. Good night and sleep well. :)

Yours truly,
The weird mortal

Cosplay or Crossplay?

Hey~ Guess what? I am going to take part in a cosplay event under Animation Appreciation Club at my uni for co-curricular activity. Well it's my first time to cosplay and I'm still wondering which character suits me best. I have two characters in mind now, Tifa Lockhart (FF7: Advent Children) and Shikamaru Nara (Naruto). Here are some attached pictures of them. :)

-----------------Tifa in Advent Children----------------

--------------------Tifa cosplayers-------------------

_________________________________________________

---------------Shikamaru in Naruto--------------

-----------------Shikamaru cosplayers----------------

So, what do you think of these two characters?

Should I cosplay(Tifa) or crossplay(Shikamaru)? Or other than these?

Actually I prefer Tifa but the cost to make her costume is kinda expensive due to the leather type of clothes material. As for Shikamaru, the costume is okay but I think the character's not as cool as Tifa perhaps. If possible I'd like to cosplay Tifa. Look cooler~ haha!

Oh, and if anyone has any experience or interest in cosplay, please share your thoughts here kay. I need your opinions people~ thanks yeah if you do so :D

Last Friday Night

Tell you the truth, I am so lazy to update my blog nowadays. I got tons of things in my mind that I would love to share it here but my laziness kept me from doing so. Pardon me kay. =P

-i know i should get a haircut but im still waiting for it to be longer-

This picture above was taken last night (with my mouth full) at Station One Kuching. It was my first time paying there a visit. I have been longing to go there but only last night I got the opportunity. Thanks to a new friend that I've just met, Justin, for bringing me and my friend out. =]

Talking about him, there's a story behind how did we know each other. According to him, he stumbled upon my blog one day when he googled about blue roses stuff. Out of curiosity he searched for my name in facebook and saw the same picture I was using for my blogger profile. So he pm-ed me to check whether am I the owner of the blog. When I saw his message I was a bit surprised but without hesitation I replied him that I am the blogger. He added me in fb after that. That was the time when his appearance amazed me. Why? Because from his profile I realized that we actually go to the same university!! How coincidence was that? xD Though we are from different faculty. But still, it was way too coincidence for me. The Earth is small indeed. ^~^

Then we started to chat in fb. Not that much but sometimes. Well I can't reveal too much about him cos he's quite a low profile person. Anyway, last night was our first meeting and it was me who suggested the place to dine. I felt quite sorry for him cos he didn't really enjoy the atmosphere of the place. The lighting all. But it's not just him. Actually I felt a bit headache after dined due to the noisiness coming from people's loud voices all around. I couldn't really enjoy the performances so I went back earlier than I expected. The performances were good though. *thumbs up*

I guess the next time I go there I will just have a drink and have fun watching the performances. Peace.

15.06.11

Finally~ I've pierced my ears!!

For the first time~

%(>_<)%

Do I look any different?

-current me-

Btw I've also bought myself a bottle of Bio-Oil.

To remove my long-term acne scars.

Well I've been suffering from a serious acne skin condition since puberty. Huhu.

And now it has turned into scars.

Become lots of tiny holes on my face.

Like the Moon's surface.

=.=

(Hey! Lunar Eclipse just occurred on the same day I pierced my ears!)

Then someone recommended me Bio-Oil.

It's quite effective from what she said.

But of course with one condition that I must use it frequently.

So I thought I would like to try it out.

Gonna start using it from now on.

Hope can see the result real soon.

Wish me luck!

xD

Oh ya my friend had just bought a guitar!! woot~

Fyi, my guitar is being left at home so I've not been playing guitar for quite a long time. Huhu. And now I'm really happy 'cause I can use hers to play~ whee~

-another friend (also a blogger - LianaRyan) trying out the guitar-

So Imma making covers again soon!! woohoo~

But maybe the videos will still be low quality 'cause I'll be just using webcam to record again...

anyway...stay tuned yeah~

do what i like.

Had my first time, then here's a second time. Tonight I will be performing on stage again. And this time it's different from the last time. This time it's inter-college. More challenging. Actually I don't know whether I should go for it or not. Cos I know I'm not good enough and I don't know how does the audience think about me. I hope they won't think bad about me. But that's the reality. The consequences that I must bear if I want to perform in front of people. I just love to perform. Maybe because I'm not that talkative in life so I'm expressing my thoughts through performing. Once I saw a quote that goes like this: Musicians are lonely people. I think it's quite true. But not 100% true. Cos I realized some musicians are really shy. That's the reason they sing. Singing is their way of expressing feelings. Maybe I'm one of them. But as far as I concern, I can never be a singer cos I sing badly. Maybe I'm just not that lucky like YUI. Haha. Think I should just stick with my second preference - a professional animator.

Medical Check-up

Today was my first time had an X-ray.

It's a nice experience whereby I was asked to take off my clothes (including bra O.O) and wear a big white cloth.

Of course not in front of the radiographer. LOL

Then I was asked to stand in front of a machine and after a few seconds it's done.

Damn fast!

Btw this is not my picture. Googled it. =P

after the arriving of guests of honour...finally the perfomances started...it started with cultural dances and followed by modern dances...

霍元甲 opening dance
(it was only me and another friend dancing for this chinese cultural dance due to the limited time. it was me and her at first who searched for all the dance videos in youtube and learnt some steps here and there from 4-5 vids, and combined it into one. it was a tough time. we used up 3 days to learn the dance steps and then it was already near the night so there was not enough time for us to teach others. that's why only both of us got on the stage. felt quite strange but it was alright cos we enjoyed ourselves. so after 5 days of practice this was the vid of achievement that we gained that night.^ ^ the dynasty clothes we wore were golden in colour bdw. it looked white due to the light. =P)

modern dance 快乐崇拜 + 撑腰

Bangra Dance

the dining time started together with the performances...

after dined...there was a small opening dance for anyone who wished to show off their dance moves...with this i only got to know that there were so many people who can dance very well...the most surprising was the only 4 flat guy in our batch...who surprised us by his street dance moves...wow...we never thought he can dance that well as he looks nerdy...this tells us that we can never judge people by their look...hahaha XD
